Ch. Bordeaux Dor D'Angevin

Bodie is a very outgoing friendly Briard full of life. When he was a puppy I would take him to school with me for the kids to play with.

Bodie seems to take everything in his stride and enjoys hanging out with people. He is the kind of dog that will always be your friend for life. He enjoys nothing more than a walk on the beach or a cuddle on the coach.

Bodie is a fawn male born 3/04/06 at Angevin kennels.
He first came to us as a pet, but I fell for the breed straight away and really wanted to show. When he turned one year old we took him to Dunedin to see his breeder. She very kindly gave us the papers to show him as she thought he was of a good standard to enter the show ring.

 
Bodie entered the ring for the very first time 6/04/07 and took best of breed beating his little sister and three others. Not bad for a pet really. Bodie received two challenges and two best of breed titles in his first two shows.

Bodie has since been made up to a NZKC Champion and now resides in Christchurch with his new loving family; Sian and Bob Humphrey.

   "Bodie is doing really well and has now become one of the Humphreys family well and truly.  He just about eats us when we come home from work; it is such a welcome home it is really something to look forward to.  We have enjoyed our nightly walks and I (Sian) sit with him every night and we have some quality grooming time, he loves it.

He and Mr G (our cat) are now getting on really well, the cat is the boss and dictates how much play and when to stop, Bodie is really funny, he follows the cat everywhere LOL

He comes to bed with us at night and lies down by either side depending on his mood, he does not come up on the bed, we have invited him but he likes to lie on the floor.  However, on the weekend if we get up and have a cup of tea and go back to bed, Bob and I are not allowed to get too close, Bodie plants himself firmly on the bed in-between us as if to say “how dare you go back to bed you should be taking me for a walk” LOL

He is so funny when he gets excited; he does this jump, all fours off the floor, straight into the air. He also loves to rugby tackle Bob and Leigh to the ground and nibbles them all over as if to tickle them, Leigh loves to wind him up and get him playing.  Sam is a quiet girl and Bodie seems to know this and is gentle with her.

"PS I love the way Bodie follows you everywhere, you are so right saying he is a true Briard, everything we read about them he does.  But, as I said, I love it when he follows me, he is like my four legged shadow.  Also everyone we meet comments on how Bodie and I have the same hair LOL.  I will have to have two patches either side of my head died black to match his ears LOL"
